At Contract Services, our commitment to the local community runs in our DNA. We have always valued and considered it important to support the community that many of our employees call home. For years, we have been actively involved in various initiatives and organisations to help the community, and we’re always keen to show our support for local causes in new ways. Today, we’re excited to share two of our most recent sponsorships: Salford Schools F.A. and The Poppy Run.
Salford Schools F.A.
We take immense pride in our long-standing support for school football in Salford. We firmly believe that equal opportunities in sports are essential, and our commitment to Salford Schools F.A. now extends to the newly-formed Under 12 girls’ team.
Supporting the new team, we’ve provided them with a brand-new kit, and our very own Mark Appleton and Nick Appleton have been actively engaged in this sponsorship. They aim to nurture grassroots football and provide the boys and girls of Salford with a platform to showcase their talents. We’re excited to witness these teams evolve and grow, and we’re eagerly anticipating the Schools F.A. annual fundraising dinner this month.

As stated, we are a voluntary body relying on help and donations from outside, and without the support of companies like Contract Services we would cease to exist, which would be a great shame for the boys and girls who rely on us.”

The Poppy Run
One cause especially close to our hearts is ‘The Poppy Run’. Organised by Simon and Kay Ryder, this 5km run will be held in Cadishead on Remembrance Sunday to support the local Royal British Legion. The Royal British Legion is the UK’s leading charity, dedicated to offering assistance in the form of financial, social and emotional support to those who are members and veterans of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependants, in addition to anyone else in need.
At Contract Services, this support holds a special place in our hearts, as the club is situated just a stone’s throw away from our office, which has been our home for the past three decades. It is a privilege to be able to support this wonderful cause, and we’re looking forward to continuing our support into the future.
