C.E.G. and Anglo Scandinavian Estates are trusted clients with a proven track record in successfully completing the innovative development of commercial office spaces.
In 2018, the Contract Services project team, headed by Nick Appleton, were tasked with a complex, phased refurbishment of C.E.G. and Anglo Scandinavian Estates’ latest acquisition, Jackson House, a 130,000 sq ft office building in the heart of Sale, South Manchester.
Having been awarded the 3-year contract, it has been broken down into a number of “consecutive” elements. The external envelope, a complete new build foyer, and reception and café complement the upgraded floor plates.
Following the COVID lockdown, the Landlords of Jackson House took full advantage of lease terminations in order to develop the brief further still.
The Contract Services team, worked closely with supply chain partner Red Systems to give the facades a £2 million facelift, replacing the windows for the entire building.
Common areas were also upgraded with new toilets, bespoke meeting spaces, a fitness suite and a roof garden, all complementing the fully refurbished cores in addition to a major utility upgrade.
Throughout the project, communication was vital as a complex programme of activities were carefully sequenced to ensure minimum impact on day to day building operations and as ever, the tenants’ safety and comfort were always our team’s top priority.
This £8.5 Million Jackson House project is now close to completion and Contract Services are proud to have been tasked with the creation of such an impressive space.
The challenges of managing this comprehensive refurbishment in a live building, whilst operating in the midst of the pandemic, stretched the project team to the limit! But thanks to a forward-thinking client, inspired design and a focused construction team the resulting finish is fantastic and it is one that we are all understandably proud of!
